About CABA
What We Offer Our Members
CABA provides a vehicle
for the exchange of information between members and to the public. It
also affords the smaller breeder the opportunity to pool resources with
others to put together major events in the marketplace.
As an organized association, we also have access to grant money from
national organizations for the purposes of marketing and education.
CABA members meet monthly at alternating venues: business meetings or
farm visits.
Business meetings are held on the third Friday of the month at the
Senior Center on Boones Ferry Road in Tualatin. The dessert potluck
starts at 7:00 PM and the business meeting at 7:30 PM. A CABA member
typically gives a short presentation during the business meeting,
followed by CABA agenda items and general farm news. A guest speaker
typically gives a presentation during the business meeting, followed by
CABA agenda items and general farm news.
Farm visits or open barns are hosted by CABA members on the third
Saturday of the month, usually 12 – 4 PM. Occasionally, CABA
will hold an event, such as this year’s Winter Social, in
lieu of a farm visit.
